Initial Assessment ATUMA vs. Unilever

The Dutch National Contact Point OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises is of the opinion that the specific instance regarding Atuma vs. Unilever, merits further consideration. The NCP offers parties its ‘good offices’ to find a solution through dialogue. 

The notification concerns the allegedly unjustifiable dismissal of 802 employees by Unilever and the failure to provide them a complete legal severance package.
