Initial assessment FNV vs. VodafoneZiggo published

On 28 May 2025, the Dutch National Contact Point (NCP) published its initial assessment of the notification submitted by trade union FNV concerning VodafoneZiggo, regarding an alleged violation of the OECD Guidelines. The notification relates to the use of the digital platform DigiC during collective bargaining negotiations.

According to FNV, the way DigiC is used gives VodafoneZiggo disproportionate influence over employee input, thereby undermining the right to collective bargaining and potentially sidelining trade unions in the process.

The NCP concludes that the notification meets the criteria for further consideration and has offered its good offices to the parties involved. Both parties have accepted this offer.

The NCP emphasizes that the initial assessment does not imply any finding as to whether VodafoneZiggo has acted in accordance with the OECD Guidelines.
