On 6 August 2025, the Dutch National Contact Point (NCP) published its initial assessment of the notification submitted by Mehmet Cumhur against Stellantis regarding an alleged breach of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. The notification concerns the handling of vehicle maintenance by authorised Opel service centres in Türkiye. Opel is one of the car brands owned by Stellantis.

The notifier argues that engine maintenance, transparency, and complaint handling by several Opel service centres are not in line with the OECD Guidelines, particularly in the areas of due diligence and consumer interests.

The NCP concludes that the notification partially meets the criteria for further consideration and has offered its good offices to both parties. Both parties have accepted this offer.

The NCP emphasises that the initial assessment does not imply any finding as to whether Stellantis has acted in accordance with the OECD Guidelines.
