The Dutch NCP has accepted a notification from Wakker Dier submitted on 21 July 2025 concerning an alleged violation of the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct by Vion Food Group N.V.
Vion is a Dutch-based international producer of meat, meat products and plant based meat alternatives. According to the notifiers, Vion has failed to address adverse effects on pig welfare, both as a result of its own activities as well as within its pork supply chain.
The NCP is of the opinion that the notification merits further consideration and has offered its good offices to both parties. Both parties have accepted this offer.
