The Dutch NCP received a notification on 16 June 2025 from trade union Unite the Union concerning alleged violations of the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct by ASML Holding NV and ASML Ireland Ltd.
ASML produces lithography systems used in the semiconductor industry and is headquartered in the Netherlands. ASML Ireland Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of ASML Holding NV. According to the notifying party, ASML Ireland has refused to recognise trade unions and has repeatedly ignored requests to engage in constructive negotiations.
The NCP is of the view that the notification merits further examination and has offered its good offices to both parties. The notifying party accepted this offer; ASML declined. The NCP will proceed with the examination of the notification and will conclude the procedure by issuing a Final Statement.
